About Gem Match 3
Play Gem Match 3 online free. Swap tiles across 20 levels, break spreading ice and combine bombs, cross blasts and color-clearing lightning.
How to play Gem Match 3
Swap adjacent tiles by dragging, swiping, or clicking one tile and then its neighbor. Make a horizontal or vertical line of at least three matching types. A non-matching swap returns without spending a move.
Match four to create a 3x3 bomb, form a T/L match for a row-and-column cross, or match five in a straight line for a color-clearing special. Swap two special blocks to combine their effects. Normal matched tiles score 10 points each times the cascade multiplier; broken ice scores 50 points.
Frozen tiles cannot be moved. Match next to them or use blasts to break ice. If a completed turn breaks no ice, one adjacent tile can freeze.
Story has 20 stages with the original score, move and ice goals. Meet the score goal and clear all ice on stages that require it. Arcade provides 30 moves and begins with eight frozen tiles. Daily uses a UTC date-seeded board, 30 moves and ten ice tiles. Relax is endless and has no ice.
The game gives an idle hint after five seconds and shuffles automatically if no legal move remains. Remaining specials detonate at the end of a limited-move round; Speed up shortens animations and keeps the same score.
Save keeps the last fully settled board, selection, campaign unlocks and statistics. A refresh during a cascade restores the last completed turn. Guest progress stays in this browser; supported signed-in FoolFish sessions can sync an account checkpoint. Remote multiplayer and the original external leaderboard are not included.

Play Gem Match 3 online free. Swap tiles across 20 levels, break spreading ice and combine bombs, cross blasts and color-clearing lightning.
The 8x8 board uses the original five fruit-and-gem tile types. Choose a campaign stage, a limited-move high-score round, a date-seeded daily board or an untimed Relax session. Each mode is single player.
How to swap tiles and make matches
Drag or swipe one tile toward an adjacent neighbor. You can also select a tile and then click or tap the neighbor. Match three or more of the same type in a straight horizontal or vertical line; diagonal matches do not count.
A swap that creates no match returns the two tiles to their original places without using a move. Frozen tiles cannot be swapped. After a match, tiles fall and new tiles enter the spaces, so one move can produce several consecutive cascades.
Create bombs, crosses and color-clearing specials
A four-tile straight match leaves a bomb that affects a 3x3 area. A T or L intersection creates a cross that affects its row and column. Five or more in one straight line create a color-clearing special. The special’s position follows the original matching and swapped-cell rules.
Swap two specials directly to trigger a combined effect. Two bombs expand the blast, paired crosses cover additional lines, and color-special combinations can affect many tiles at once. At zero moves, the game detonates remaining specials before showing the final score. Speed up changes animation time and keeps the scoring calculation.
Break ice and plan a chain reaction
Make a match directly beside frozen tiles to break their ice. Power-up blasts can also reach frozen spaces. A limited-mode turn that breaks no ice can freeze one neighboring unfrozen tile; ignoring ice can therefore reduce your available moves.
Normal removed tiles give 10 points each, multiplied by their cascade number. Every broken ice tile adds 50 points. A match near ice can both open the board and protect you from that turn’s spread. Look for moves that make a special or leave the next match ready.
20 levels, Arcade, Daily Challenge and Relax
Story contains 20 saved stage definitions. The first stage asks for 800 points in 15 moves without ice. Later stages use different score goals, ice counts and move budgets; a stage with an ice goal is won only when all its remaining ice has been cleared and its score goal has been reached.
Arcade begins with 30 moves and eight frozen tiles. Daily uses the original UTC-date seed with 30 moves and ten frozen tiles; players using the same date seed begin from the same generated board. Relax has no ice and no move limit. These are score and matching puzzles, with no cash prizes or remote matches.
Hints, automatic shuffling and comfortable controls
When you leave a playable board untouched for five seconds, a hint highlights a legal swap. If no legal swap remains, the original engine shuffles movable tiles, resolves any resulting matches and retries until a move is available. Frozen tiles stay in place during that shuffle.
Settings keeps the original White and Gray tile themes, three board-zoom choices, sound effects and English/Polish language selection. Mouse and touch support both swipe and click-to-select controls. The browser build keeps the source’s layout and contains the board and dialogs within smaller game windows.
Save your board and continue the campaign
The Save control keeps the last completely resolved turn together with campaign unlocks, records and player statistics. Refreshing during an animation returns to that last completed turn instead of loading an incomplete board. Restart replaces the current round; returning to the menu keeps campaign progress, and the campaign Reset action keeps your historical level record.
Guest progress stays in this browser. In supported signed-in FoolFish sessions an account checkpoint can move between devices. If another device saved different progress, choose which complete checkpoint to keep. This edition removes the source’s external nickname and online leaderboard service; it does not claim an active global ranking.
Match-3 strategy and more tile-matching games
Check the goal and remaining moves before choosing a swap. Breaking ice can open future swaps and stop that turn from spreading more ice. A large cascade earns points, but an ice-goal stage also needs its remaining frozen tiles cleared; a high score alone is not the whole goal.
Fish Match 3 keeps the same swaps, special combinations and mode rules with a different tile theme. Bubble Shooter uses touching groups on a hexagonal bubble grid instead of adjacent tile swaps. Explore matching games for these different approaches to making a match.
Common questions
How do I play Gem Match 3?
Swap two adjacent tiles to form a horizontal or vertical line of at least three matching types. Non-matching swaps return without spending a move.
How many campaign stages are included?
Story has 20 stages with the original move budgets, score targets and ice requirements.
What do four- and five-tile matches make?
Four in a straight line create a 3x3 bomb. A T/L intersection creates a row-and-column cross. Five in a straight line create a color-clearing special.
Why does the ice spread?
In limited modes, a completed turn that breaks no ice can freeze one adjacent tile. Matching beside ice or using power-up blasts breaks it.
Is there an unlimited mode?
Yes. Relax has no move limit and no ice. Arcade and Daily use 30 moves.
Does Speed up skip points?
No. It shortens the end-of-round special-block animations and keeps the same native score calculation.
Can I save on one device and continue on another?
Supported signed-in FoolFish sessions can sync an account checkpoint. Guest saves stay in the browser. The last completely resolved turn is restored.
Does this game have online multiplayer or a global leaderboard?
No. All modes are single player. The original third-party online ranking and nickname service are removed; local records and statistics remain.
