Word games use language in different ways. You might guess a hidden answer, rearrange letters, find words in a grid or build a sequence from limited clues. Some reward a broad vocabulary; others depend more on deduction and careful use of feedback. A familiar alphabet does not mean familiar rules, so choose a game and check what counts as a valid move.

Daily word guessing games

Wordle gives you six guesses at a five-letter word. The colors tell you which letters are in the right place, which belong elsewhere and which copies are absent. Word searches, anagrams and spelling puzzles

These common formats ask different questions. A word search is about finding a sequence in a grid; an anagram puzzle asks you to rearrange letters; a spelling challenge tests which words you can build. Use word puzzles to explore the available games that combine letters with clue-based thinking.

Practice modes and daily puzzles

A daily challenge gives you a reason to return for a new answer. A practice mode lets you play another round without waiting for the next day. The FoolFish version of Wordle includes both, and its daily puzzle changes at midnight UTC. Daily schedules and attempt limits belong to each game, so they should not be assumed for all word games.

Make each clue useful

Read the whole result before guessing again. Keep confirmed positions, move letters that have been marked elsewhere, and use a new guess to test remaining possibilities. When a letter appears twice, the two copies can receive different feedback. That does not make the clue contradictory: it helps explain how many copies belong in the answer.
