About Cathedral Builder
Play Cathedral Builder online free. Dig rock, cut stone, earn gold and upgrade production to build all 34,570 stones before the year 1300.
How to play Cathedral Builder
Press Play, then tap through the opening cards. DIG extracts rock; CUT spends one rock to make a batch of stones; BUILD CATHEDRAL uses stones to raise the structure.
Complete the guided first 20 stones, then develop production before the year 1300. At first a job takes one second: DIG gives one rock, CUT gives ten stones and BEG gives one gold.
Gold buys three upgrades and four ten-second AUTO CLICK boosters. Upgrade prices double after a purchase; booster prices rise by the ceiling of 1.4 times the previous price. Catch moving bonus plates for extra resources or a ten-second all-worker boost.
Finish all 34,570 stones to win. If the calendar reaches 1300 first, the run ends; click the result panel to try again. The calendar and active booster timers pause while the page is hidden or closed. Open Save for browser/account checkpoints and device conflict choices.

Play a construction game that builds every stone
Cathedral Builder is a free browser building game with a visible production chain. Extract rock, cut it into usable stones and lay those stones into a Gothic building. Its arches, nave and twin towers appear piece by piece as your completed construction total rises.
This is a short, timed construction challenge. Your target is the complete 34,570-stone blueprint before the calendar reaches 1300. The tutorial introduces the early tasks, and the first 20 laid stones reset the calendar to 1200 for the main challenge.
DIG, CUT and BUILD: balance the resource chain
DIG begins a rock-gathering job. Initially it takes one second and yields one rock. CUT consumes one rock when its job starts and delivers ten stones after its initial one-second cycle. A cut that cannot find a rock does not start, so maintain a supply at the beginning of the chain.
Press BUILD CATHEDRAL to activate a one-second construction burst. It uses only the stones available in stock and respects the original building cadence. The amount laid per construction step rises with your level, so a faster builder can still stall when cutting cannot supply enough stones.
Spend gold on faster digging, cutting and begging
BEG produces gold, starting at one gold for a one-second job. Construction milestones also award gold. The three UPGRADE buttons improve DIG, CUT or BEG: each purchase multiplies that job time by 0.9, while increasing its output with an upward rounding step.
Rock and gold outputs multiply by 1.05 before rounding; stone output multiplies by 1.25. Each upgrade starts at one gold and its next price doubles after purchase. Early cutting upgrades therefore increase each batch sharply, but digging and gold income still need enough capacity to feed the other tasks.
Ten-second auto-click boosters and floating bonuses
There are four AUTO CLICK boosters for digging, cutting, begging and building. Each paid booster lasts ten seconds, and the same active booster cannot be bought again until it expires. Its next gold price becomes the ceiling of 1.4 times the old price.
Floating plates are collected by clicking or tapping the plate itself. They can award rock, stones or gold; an AUTO CLICK bonus activates all four tasks for ten seconds. The first construction milestone releases a 50-stone plate, while later milestone rewards introduce other resources and random bonus types.
Construction strategy: watch the bottleneck and deadline
An empty stone stock points to the cutting stage, while a cutting task that refuses to start points to an empty rock stock. Gold is the investment resource, so spending it all on one branch can leave another branch unable to support your new production speed. Compare stock levels and job progress before each purchase.
The game has 15 construction levels. Milestones increase building output and the next construction target; the final target is the entire blueprint. A month advances after the native 200-millisecond calendar interval while the game is active, so a full deadline run is about four minutes. Click the result panel after either outcome to begin another run.
Mouse and touch controls, music and precise checkpoints
Tap the labeled task and booster buttons; each press starts the action shown rather than requiring a sustained drag. Portrait mode places the construction above the controls, while landscape mode shows the production panel beside it. The speaker button controls the original synthesized triangle-wave music.
Save preserves your resources, purchases, construction, calendar, in-progress jobs and active bonus timers. The page-hidden clock pauses, and closed time does not generate resources or consume the remaining deadline. Sign in on FoolFish before opening for account checkpoints; if two devices disagree, choose one checkpoint rather than merging their stocks.
Common questions
How do I win Cathedral Builder?
Lay all 34,570 stones before the calendar reaches the year 1300. A completed blueprint wins; reaching the deadline first ends the run.
Why does CUT not start?
CUT needs at least one rock in stock. It consumes that rock when the job starts, then produces a batch of stones when its progress completes.
Do auto-click boosters last forever?
No. Each booster lasts ten seconds. Its next purchase costs more, and the same booster cannot be bought again while it remains active.
Does closing the game earn offline resources?
No. Your checkpoint resumes the resources and remaining timers you left. Hidden or closed time does not grant additional production.
