How to play Idle Miner
Click the central resource to deal damage. Breaking it pays its value immediately, refreshes the same resource and unlocks the next level. Use the arrows to switch levels.
Buy upgrades with cash, then craft a stronger pickaxe using gems. A failed craft still spends the selected gems; the stronger existing tool remains equipped.
Hold Shift to buy up to the next multiple of 10 upgrade levels, or Control for the next multiple of 100. Later upgrades unlock larger crafting batches, Planet Coins, Wisdom and Power conversion.
Automatic hits run while the game is open. Reopening after more than five minutes grants the original capped offline earnings: 50% of current cash production for at most six hours before time-cap upgrades. Offline gems and Planet Coins require their respective upgrades.
Settings includes themes, number formats, save, export/import and account checkpoint choices. Hard Reset clears only this game and provides no reward.

Play Idle Miner: an incremental mineral-mining game
Idle Miner starts with Mud, a tool with 20 base damage and five gems. Click the large resource at the center of the mining panel to reduce its health. Automatic hits provide a slower starting flow without requiring constant clicking. Cash is added when the resource breaks; there is no separate inventory or Sell step.
The resource then returns at full health so you can keep farming its value. Breaking a level also unlocks the next one. The left and right arrows let you revisit earlier resources when a tougher target is slowing your earnings.
Compare defense, damage and cash per second
The starting Mud has 100 health, no defense and a cash value of two. Initial active hits deal 20 damage, while automatic hits deal 15 at one hit per second. Five active hits or seven idle hits therefore break it. The automatic timer makes one hit when its interval elapses; background tab pauses do not become a burst of missed hits.
A resource with higher value can still earn less per second if its defense absorbs your damage or its health takes too many hits to clear. Use the displayed Damage/click, Damage/s and Money/s figures to compare levels before moving on. A target whose defense exceeds your tool strength needs upgrades or a better tool first.
Blacksmith upgrades and random tool crafting
Cash upgrades improve tool power and quality, active damage, automatic damage, hit speed, gem chance and crafting investment. Crafting spends the selected gems and rolls a new tool with separate power and quality values. The game equips it only if its total damage beats your current tool; a dud leaves the old tool equipped and still consumes the crafting cost.
There are eight cash upgrade paths, seven gem paths, seven coin paths and seven wisdom paths. Prices, effects and level caps differ between paths. Holding Shift purchases toward the next multiple of ten levels; Control uses the next multiple of one hundred. If you cannot afford the next purchase, the batch stops there.
Unlock Planet Coins, Wisdom and Power conversion
Later story milestones unlock gem upgrades and a second drop currency, Planet Coins. Specific resources have their own drop chances and amounts, so the standard gem roll is separate from coin and lore drops. The Wisdom stage adds seven more upgrades and five connected Powers.
Power conversion strengthens the next Power while reducing the current one by the original retention formula. It does not erase the whole save or award a generic rebirth currency. Nine story chapters and 61 milestone entries lead to the final story target at displayed resource #215. Generated resources continue after that point with their original increasing health, defense, value and drops.
How offline mining rewards work
Offline rewards begin only when the saved time gap is greater than 300 seconds. Cash uses half of the current automatic cash rate, multiplied by the allowed time away. The base cap is six hours; the dedicated offline-time upgrade can extend it. This is a rate calculation, not a simulation of every missed click or a random reward roll.
Offline gems and Planet Coins earnings require their own purchased upgrades and use the game’s separate rates with whole-number rounding down. The checkpoint timestamp advances after the reward is applied, so refreshing again cannot claim the same absence twice. Pausing from the site stops active production without adding a new reward mechanic.
Save progress, inspect the story and choose your next upgrade
Settings retains the original light/dark theme choices and 40 number-format options. Save stores a checkpoint; Export copies a text save and Import restores a valid mining save. The platform checkpoint preserves balances, all purchased levels, tool quality, Power values, the selected crafting investment and the current resource’s remaining health.
For account checkpoints, sign in on FoolFish before opening Idle Miner. If another device has different progress, the game pauses for an explicit local-or-cloud choice. Hard Reset clears this game’s progress with no reward. It preserves other games and account data. The Story tab supplies the native next objective rather than asking you to guess which system unlocks next.
Common questions
Do I have to sell resources in Idle Miner?
No. Cash is awarded immediately when the current resource reaches zero health. The same resource resets and the next level unlocks.
Why did crafting spend gems without changing my tool?
The rolled pickaxe was weaker than the equipped one. A dud still spends the selected gems; only a stronger tool replaces your current tool.
How much offline income can I earn?
After more than five minutes away, cash pays 50% of the saved current automatic rate for a base maximum of six hours. Dedicated upgrades enable offline gems, offline Planet Coins and a longer cap.
Does Power prestige reset the entire mining game?
No. It upgrades the next Power and applies the original retention exponent to the converted Power. Hard Reset is a separate no-reward action that clears this game.
