About Pipe Connect

Play Pipe Connect online free. Rotate tiles into one connected network, lock pieces, use Undo and try wrapping pipe puzzles from 5×5 to 13×11.

How to play Pipe Connect

Rotate every network tile into one connected arrangement with no loops. Left click turns anticlockwise; right click or Ctrl+click turns clockwise. Middle/Shift click or S locks; arrow keys select, A/D rotate, F turns 180°, J jumbles unlocked pieces.

Type contains five normal and five wrapping presets plus Custom. In wrapping mode Shift+arrows shifts the view; Ctrl+arrows moves the highlighting source. Preferences changes loop highlighting. New makes another deal, Restart replays this deal; Undo, Redo and original assisted Solve remain. Game contains ID/seed input and native file download/upload.

Save keeps original rotations, locks, history position, wrap origin, source and preferences. Sign in before opening for account sync; guest progress stays separate and conflicts require an explicit choice. Histories above the 64 KiB checkpoint limit require a native file download; failed saves preserve the previous checkpoint.

Play Pipe Connect online: rebuild a complete network

Pipe Connect is a rotating-pipe logic puzzle. Turn the fixed pieces until every network tile joins one connected network with no closed loops. Routes linked to the source glow, and the Active counter shows how many tiles are connected.

Begin with a small 5×5 board or choose a larger network when you want more branches to trace. Each New puzzle is generated from its size, options and seed. The challenge is to orient the existing pieces; there is no countdown or numbered level campaign.

Rotate pipe pieces clockwise, anticlockwise or by 180 degrees

Left-click turns a tile anticlockwise; right-click or Ctrl plus left-click turns it clockwise. Arrow keys select a tile, A and D turn it in the two directions, and F turns it by 180 degrees.

The game keeps each tile’s branches intact. You cannot add pipe segments, remove pieces or swap their positions. Compare a corner, straight line, junction or endpoint with its neighbors before choosing its orientation.

Lock solved pieces and jumble only the unlocked tiles

Middle-click, Shift plus left-click or the S key locks a tile. Its background changes and ordinary rotations leave it alone. Use the same control again to unlock it when your deduction changes.

Press J to jumble the unlocked tiles using the original random-orientation rule. Locked tiles stay fixed. This is a way to reconsider a position, not a hint or an extra stage; Undo can restore the state before the jumble.

Normal and wrapping pipe puzzles, from 5×5 to 13×11

Type offers 5×5, 7×7, 9×9, 11×11 and 13×11 presets. Each size also has a wrapping variant, where a pipe leaving one edge can connect to the opposite edge.

On a wrapping board, Shift plus arrow keys shifts the visible origin so opposite edges can be examined together. Ctrl plus arrows moves the tile used for glowing highlights. Changing the highlight source does not change the network’s solution.

Pipe puzzle strategy: boundaries, barriers and closed loops

Start at the borders on a normal board, where a pipe cannot continue beyond the edge. An endpoint has one branch; corners and junctions constrain several neighboring tiles. Follow those connections and avoid a closed loop, which cannot belong to the completed network.

Type → Custom sets width, height, barrier probability, wrapping and whether the generator ensures a unique solution. Barriers are immovable constraints. Preferences controls whether loops involving unlocked squares are highlighted immediately or only when the involved tiles are locked.

Puzzle IDs, seeds, Restart, Undo and the original solver

New generates another puzzle; Restart returns to this puzzle’s starting orientation. Undo and Redo retain rotations, locks and jumbles. Solve reveals the solver’s arrangement and labels it auto-solved. It is a practice result, not a normal win or loss; Undo lets you return to your own deductions.

Game contains separate entries for a puzzle ID and a random seed. A puzzle ID describes the starting grid, while the seed recreates generation with the same parameters. The two permalink links let you retain either form. Original native save files can be downloaded and uploaded.

Save the full pipe board and continue on another device

Save keeps the full board, move history and current history position, along with the wrapped view, highlighting source and preferences. A refresh can restore those details in the same browser. Use the Game menu’s native file download and upload for a portable copy.

Sign in on FoolFish before opening to use the account checkpoint. Guest and account namespaces stay separate, and conflicting device saves require an explicit choice. Very long native histories can exceed the 64 KiB checkpoint budget; when saving fails, the previous checkpoint is preserved and native download remains available.

Common questions

How do I play Pipe Connect?

Rotate the fixed pieces until every network tile connects to the source in one network with no closed loops. A lit endpoint is only part of the route; all branches and junctions must connect too.

How do I lock or rotate a tile?

Left-click rotates anticlockwise; right-click or Ctrl+click rotates clockwise. Middle-click, Shift+click or S locks and unlocks. Arrow keys select, A/D rotate and F turns by 180 degrees.

What does wrapping mean in a pipe puzzle?

A route leaving one edge connects to the opposite edge. The Type menu offers normal and wrapping presets; Shift+arrow keys shifts the wrapped view.

Can I undo a move, replay a deal or use Solve?

Yes. Undo and Redo keep the original native history, Restart returns to this deal, and New creates another. Solve shows an explicitly auto-solved practice result; it does not record a normal win or loss.

Does Pipe Connect save across devices?

Open from a signed-in FoolFish account for account checkpoints. Guests stay separate; save conflicts require a choice. Histories exceeding 64 KiB cannot be checkpointed, but native file download remains available and the previous checkpoint is preserved.
