How to play Golf Solitaire

Tap the bottom available card of a column when it is one rank higher or lower than the foundation card. Ace connects to both 2 and king; suits do not matter.

Tap the last face-down stock card to turn it onto the foundation. The stock can be used once. Covered cards and earlier stock cards cannot be selected.

Move every card to the foundation to finish. After clearing the seven columns, turn any remaining stock cards to complete the 52-card game.

If the stock is empty and no card can move, the cards turn gray. Tap the table to replay that same deal. A completed game celebrates and starts a fresh deal. Save options manage browser and account checkpoints.

How to play Golf Solitaire online

Start with 35 cards across seven columns, one face-up foundation card and 16 face-down stock cards. Only the bottom uncovered card in each column can move. A valid card goes to the foundation when its rank is one higher or lower than the current top card. Suits and colors do not affect the move.

Aces work at both ends of the sequence. You can play king–ace–2, or reverse direction from 2 to ace and then king. Pick a column to uncover another rank, or draw the last stock card when you want to change the foundation.

The stock and the 52-card finish

The stock is a single pass of 16 cards. Tap its top exposed back, at the right end of the stock fan. Earlier stock cards cannot be drawn out of order and there is no stock recycle.

This implementation finishes when all 52 cards reach the foundation. Clearing the 35 tableau cards is the main challenge; if any stock remains afterward, turn those cards onto the foundation to trigger the celebration and the next deal.

Plan longer higher-or-lower sequences

Study the card beneath a possible move. If two columns show the same rank, each can reveal a different follow-up card, so the choice affects your next sequence. A useful move can create a branch that lets you change direction without spending stock.

Stock draws can unlock blocked ranks, but they are limited. Before drawing, look across all seven uncovered cards and check both neighboring ranks. There is no built-in hint, undo or card-steal button in this version.

Replay a stuck deal or start the next one

When every stock card has been drawn and none of the available tableau cards can move, the game turns gray. Tap the table to put the cards back and replay that same deal. Different choices may lead to a longer sequence.

After all 52 cards enter the foundation, the original card animation plays and a fresh deal starts automatically. The original deal collection contains 2,000 rank orders, with suits assigned when the deck is prepared.

Play on desktop and mobile

Use a mouse click on desktop or a tap on a phone or tablet. Cards move and flip through the original animations, while the seven-column layout scales to the available screen. The game can run locally without a multiplayer server.
