About Fish Ludo
Play Fish Ludo, an ocean-themed Ludo board game with four colourful shoals and a coral home. Roll six to release a fish, use safe squares, capture rivals and bring every fish home with exact rolls. Play the computer or share a device with two or four players. The same paced offline dice and legal-move rules as our classic Ludo apply.
How to play Fish Ludo
Choose Play computer or Play with friends, select 2 or 4 players and pick a colour. Roll six to enter a fish token. Then click a glowing token or its numbered move button to advance by the die.
Coloured starts and stars are safe. Landing on one opposing token elsewhere sends it back to its yard. You cannot land on two opposing tokens together, but you may pass occupied squares.
A six, a capture or getting a fish token home earns another roll. You need the exact number to finish. Get all four fish home first; four-player games continue to decide the remaining places.
This offline edition uses paced dice: same-colour ordinary-square stacking rolls are filtered, a third consecutive six is prevented, and long waits for six are limited. These are not independent physical dice odds.
Hint suggests a fish token. Use a mouse, touch, or Tab and Enter. Your board and current die save in this browser. Sign in on FoolFish before opening the game for account checkpoints. Friends mode is on one device; there is no remote matchmaking.

A familiar board beneath the waves
Fish Ludo replaces the standard tokens with numbered fish and sets the race on a sea-green board. Blue, Coral, Green and Gold identify the four shoals. The familiar cross-shaped route, coloured starting squares, stars and private home lanes stay easy to recognise. The new artwork changes the setting; it does not add shortcuts, special powers or different movement rules. Pick your shoal before starting a computer or shared-device game.
Release a fish with a six
Every shoal begins with four fish in its home pool. Roll a six to send one onto the starting square. Later sixes can release another fish or move a fish already swimming around the route. After each roll, glowing fish show your legal choices. Small numbered buttons offer the same moves below the board, which is useful on a phone. A six earns another roll after a legal move.
Find shelter and send rivals back
Stars and coloured starts are safe places where different shoals can meet without a capture. On other squares, landing on one rival fish sends it back to its pool and earns you another roll. A square occupied by two opposing fish cannot be a landing destination. You may still move past occupied squares. Safe positions help protect a fish that has travelled far, while a capture can interrupt an opponent’s race.
Guide the whole shoal into the centre
Each fish follows the shared circuit before turning into its own coloured lane. It needs an exact roll to reach its final home space. A fish already home is removed from the route and added to its shoal’s home counter. Getting one home earns another roll; getting all four home earns a place. Four-player races continue after the first finisher so the remaining shoals can complete the ranking.
The same rules as classic Ludo
Fish Ludo shares its movement and dice code with the standard game. Its offline dice system filters results that would form a same-colour stack on an ordinary track square, prevents a third consecutive six and limits long waits for six. Safe-square stacking remains possible. Computer dice have their own pacing, so this is not a simulation of unrestricted physical dice odds. Theme changes leave those rules unchanged.
Play a short session and return later
The menu lets you return home without abandoning your race. Continue game restores your fish positions and current die. Guest progress is stored in this browser; sign in on FoolFish before opening the game to use account checkpoints. Hint suggests a fish to move, and sound can be switched off. Both portrait and landscape layouts support touch, with numbered move buttons and keyboard navigation available. Friends play on the same device, without online rooms or purchases.
Common questions
Does Fish Ludo have different rules from Ludo?
No. Both versions use the same route, legal moves, captures, exact home rolls and paced offline dice. The board, fish artwork and colour names differ.
How many fish must I bring home?
All four fish in your shoal. In four-player mode, the remaining shoals continue racing after first place is decided.
Can I play Fish Ludo on my phone?
Yes. Tap to roll and select a glowing fish or its numbered move button. The layout supports portrait and landscape screens.
Does changing the theme transfer my saved game?
No. Fish Ludo has its own game identity and save. Its checkpoint is separate from the classic Ludo game.
